Registration for one of Australia’s premier women’s only fun run The Sussan Womens Fun Run, is now open for 2011!

The Sussan Women’s Fun Run 2011 has been an iconic event on the Australian women’s fun run scene for 26 years. What began in 1986 as a relatively small fun run has grown into one of Australia’s premier women’s only fun run. 2010 was the 25th Anniversary which brought a new dimension, of ‘togetherness for a cause’ for women in the sport.

2011 Entry Fees

Enter early and SAVE! Enter before 5pm on Friday 28th October 2011 to take advantage of the reduced fee. All entries received after this time will incur a $5 late fee.
Adults
EARLY (Before Oct 28th) – $55

Entry closing dates

Entries closes 5pm Wednesday 30th November 2011 or earlier if the field limit is reached.

Subject to availability there will be limited late entries available in person on the day prior to event (Saturday 3rd December) at the race venue from 10am to 2pm. Saturday entries must be paid for in cash and are not guaranteed a show bag.

There will be NO race day entries!!!

SuperSprint and the major event sponsors Sussan are supplying all entrants with an official 2011 Sussan Women’s Fun Run event t-shirt. All entrants in both the 10km and 5km races will receive a high quality Sussan t-shirt as a part of their entry fee.

The Sussan Women’s Fun Run Course & Map

Starting and finishing in St Kilda’s picturesque Catani Gardens the Sussan Women’s Fun Run heads north along Beaconsfield Parade towards Port Melbourne until the turnaround point at Kerferd Road for the 10km event and Mills Street for the 5km. Participants then head back towards St Kilda with 5km participants turning at the marker heading back into the finish chute in Catani Gardens. Competitors in the 10km race will continue along Jacka Boulevard which runs into Marine Parade all the way to Point Ormond before turning around and heading for home.

Victoria Variety Santa Fun Run 2011

What is the Variety Santa Fun Run?

The Variety Santa Fun Run is a 5km fun run being held at the Waterfront City in Docklands, Melbourne.

You can run, walk, skip, hop, jump – finish it however you like, but just make sure you do it in your official Variety Santa suit. The suit is included in your registration fee so there can be no excuses for not getting into the Christmas spirit on the day!

You can enter as an individual, family, corporate team or with your friends and with the choice of a 4.2km run/walk, 8.4km run/walk, or 12.7km run, all ages and abilities can participate in this event.

Collecting your Santa suit?

Santa suits and entrant numbers will be available for collection from the Variety office at H71, 63-85 Turner Street Port Melbourne VIC 3207 between Monday 14th and Thursday 24th November, between 10am – 2pm ONLY after payment of registration has been received.

Alternatively, Santa suits and entrant numbers may be collected at the marshaling area at Waterfront City between 7 – 8.30 ONLY on the day of the race.

While the event will not be timed, participants are required to wear a race number and anyone not wearing a race number will not be allowed to take part in the fun run.

Children 2 – 10 will receive a Santa Hat on the day, and encourage anyone under 2 to dress in the Christmas spirit for the day.
(Children under 2 years of age are FREE but still need to register)

with presentations and Christmas entertainment to follow!

How to Register for the Fun Run?

You can register to run online using your Visa or MasterCard and the organisers request that people register online as much as possible. This includes Team, Family, Corporate, Schools and Individual entries.

Spring is upon us and it’s time to look and feel sensational while saying goodbye to the winter blues – the cold early mornings, and insulating kilos!

Melbourne’s superior short-distance running and walking event, the Brooks Spring into Shape Series, will be held on Sunday, 18 September, Sunday, 23 October and Sunday, 27 November at Alexandra Gardens.

With the choice of a 4.2km run/walk, 8.4km run/walk, or 12.7km run, all ages and abilities can participate in this event, which is designed to challenge participants, as they take in some of Melbourne’s inner city beauty. PLUS, maintaining the same course and distances across the Series allows participants to increase and gauge their fitness levels during Spring, leading into an event filled Summer!

Event Entry Details

Race packs will not be sent out. They will be ready to pick up at the numbers pick up marquee on event day.

If you wish to enter the event on the day, they will be taking entries from 7.00am but make sure you arrive ealry to avoid the queues. Late fees also apply for on the day entries which are listed below.

Free Stuff

Series entrants score a FREE Brooks technical running T-shirt (RRP $70).
Race 1 entrants receive a free Brooks drawcord bag.
Race 2 entrants receive a free FLY Active running wrist pocket.
Race 3 entrants receive a free pair of Brooks socks.

If you bring four friends your entry is FREE, and you also go into the draw to WIN an overseas trip to Kokoda (RRP $5,890) or New Zealand (RRP $3,690), thanks to Stafford and Rowse.

Become a Volunteer

You don’t have to be a runner or walker to be part of the Brooks Spring Into Shape Series. You can join in the event as a volunteer, undertaking roles in areas such as:

About the Albert Park MS Walk and Fun Run

In winter it is sometimes too easy to stop exercising and stay in your warm bed. Taking part in the 2011 MS Walk and Fun Run will not only get the blood pumping and improve your overall health and fitness, it will also make you feel warm inside for contributing to such a great cause.

Walking Event Details

The event will start and finish from Palms Lawn, Albert Park Lake and will follow a scenic track around the lake with some fantastic views of Melbourne.

Start Time: 10.30am
Distance 1: 5km
Distance 2: 10km

Join 5000 others for the warm-up exercises and celebrations before making your way around the beautiful Albert Park Lake. Stroll or power-walk, travel by wheelchair, pram or stroller, wear serious sports gear or wacky team costumes. Whatever you choose, you will be helping thousands of Australians who are living with multiple sclerosis.

Running Event Details

The fun run event will start and finish in the same location as the walkers event at Palms Lawn, Albert Park Lake and will follow a scenic track around the lake with some fantastic views of Melbourne.
