After completing the bike course athletes dismount and volunteers take their bike from them and place them safely onto the truck, which transport the bikes to the finish line in St Kilda. Athletes then change in the marquee and make their way onto the 42.2km run initially heading south towards Oliver’s Hill and then they return past the transition area and head over the Frankston foot bridge.

Athletes then follow the beach pathway to the Frankston SLSC where they then turn East and follow the creek back towards the Transition Area. Just prior to the transition area the course crosses the creek and follows the paths until they reach the Nepean Highway. Athletes then run on the left lane of the highway to Mordialloc. Once at Mordialloc athletes follow the pathway all the way to the finish at St. Kilda Sea Baths.
