About Us: Who is MaxNRG Personal Training?

MaxNRG Personal Training is a team of qualified mobile personal trainers that come to your home, local park or workplace. Our company has been in operation since 2009, and is owned and operated by David Atkinson and Russell Laurie. David and Russell both started in the health and fitness industry in 2006 and have built a fantastic team of trainers at MaxNRG Personal Training.

We bring all the equipment needed to run individualised and tailored fitness programs to our clients. We offer one on one personal training, Small Group Training, Group fitness sessions and also corporate health and wellness programs. We operate all over Melbourne and the surrounding suburbs.

Our trainers are university qualified trainers who not only have their Cert 3 and 4 in Fitness and Personal Training (the standard requirement for most personal trainers) but they have also completed a 3 or 4 year university degree in Exercise Science and Human Movement. Mobile personal training means just that, we are mobile, we do not work out of a gym or studio but we come to you, wherever you are in Melbourne and have all the equipment you need. No of course not! We train people of all fitness levels and for a wide range of goals. Your trainer will work within you limits and tailor a program for you and you only. You will be surprised of what you are capable of!

Personal Training: Where can I have my mobile personal training sessions?

We are a mobile training team so we train anywhere and everywhere. We offer In-home training, park or oval training and we can even come to your workplace or school.

Our team operates all over Melbourne, VIC. If we don’t have a trainer that operates in your exact local suburb we are sure to have one that isn’t far away. As a mobile personal training team, your sessions can be arranged to fit your schedule.

We will cater to all fitness/training needs and can fit easily into your daily schedule because you can train anywhere like: your backyard, local park, carport or even your own lounge room!

If you are based in the Moonee Valley Area we also run a private personal training studio in Ascot Vale, where you can train in a fully equipment fitness studio at a reduce cost compared to our mobile training. You can view photos of our personal training studio here.

There is no longer the excuse “I NEVER HAVE TIME TO GET TO THE GYM” because we bring the gym to you! We also create a fully individualised training program based on your goals so we also eliminate the worry of you not knowing what exercise you should be doing!

Personal Training: Do I need my own equipment?

No, we provide all the equipment you will need for you sessions. We offer a variety of free weights, boxing gear, resistance bands, skipping ropes, kettle bells and much, much more! If you do have your own exercise equipment, your trainer will also show you a range of exercises, as well as a complete home exercise program that you can complete away from your personal training sessions to achieve even better results!

Personal Training: How long do your sessions go for?

Our standard sessions with a MaxNRG Trainer runs for 45 minutes. Depending on your individual needs and wants, MaxNRG also offer a range of longer and shorter sessions that can be customised to fit your specific needs and schedule.

We do not waste your time with long warm ups and cool downs, we get you straight into your training session so you can get the most out of each and everyone of your workout.

Depending on your individual goals and needs, you may need an extended warm up or various mobility or stretching routines to help you reach your goal but your trainer will create an extra program that you can complete before or after your workout.

Personal Training: I’m a shift worker, are you flexible with training times?

Yes, we are very flexible in you having different training times each week or month. You can work out your times with your trainer and we will do our best to suit your schedule.

We have a large number of shift workers, self employed workers as well as people who have varying schedules from week to week so our training options are flexible. Our personal trainers do our best to be as flexible as we can with your training times if you need to reschedule..

We offer personal training sessions from 5am-8pm each day, and depending on our trainers availability sessions can be scheduled to fit into your work/life schedule (you are not locked into exact times/days each week).

Personal Training: Can I train with my partner, a friend or at my workplace?

Of course you can. We offer small private group training for 2 to 10 people, so you can train with a partner, friend or family member.

If you have different goals or fitness levels, that is no problem at all. We tailor each session for each individual so you all get the best out of your workout. Perfect for couples or BBFs!

Personal Training: I currently am injuried. Are your trainers qualified to help with a rehabilitation program?

Yes we can help. Our team of trainers is full of university qualified fitness professionals, who have either exercise science degrees, or are currently continuing their studies in exercise physiology and rehab or osteopathy.

If you currently are seeing a Physiotherapist, Chiropractor, Osteopath or your Doctor for you current injury, once they have diagnosed your injury, we can work closely with them to create a health and fitness plan suitable for you. We also have a number of health professionals that we already work with and can refer you on to other specialist if needed.

With most of our team having Exercise Science Degrees and Clinical Exercise Science Degrees, we can adapt your workouts to help create a rehabilitation program for your injury and still get you working towards your health and fitness goals.

We also have an Exercise Physiologist who is an expert in the field in which you may be eligible for Medicare or Private Health rebates. Find out more about private health rebates and Medicare here.

We have been operating for over 10 years in the health and fitness industry and we pride ourselves on our past and current client goals and achievements.

Personal Training: Do I have the same personal trainer each week?

Yes, we ensure you will have the same personal trainer throughout your training program. This is vital for your progression and so we can keep your training consistent and you working efficiently towards your health and fitness goals.

In the unfortunate case where your trainer is away sick, we will do our best to have a replacement trainer available for you to run your session.

Personal Training: Am I locked into a contract? How do I cancel my Personal Training sessions.

No. You are not locked into any ongoing contracts and we do not charge any start up fees. All our Personal Training sessions are billed on a fortnightly payment plan and you simply pay for the sessions you have booked in the previous fortnight with your trainer.

You’re more than welcome to stop your personal training sessions whenever you would like to, but we will be sad to see you go 🙁

All we ask is to please give us 2 weeks notice if you decide you do not want to continue with your training, and send an email to our team at info@maxnrgpt.com.au so we can stop your payments.

Personal Training: What is the costing for one on one personal training?

We offer a range of different services and packages that aim to cater for individual needs, budgets and schedules.

The cost for our mobile one on one personal training is $70 per session.

1:1 Personal Training: $70.00 per session
2:1 Personal Training: $44 per person
3:1 Personal Training: $33 per person

With your mobile personal training sessions, you will receive a personalised training program specific to your training goals, your trainer will come to you (where and when you want), and we will provide all the training equipment you need.

No matter what your budget, we can devise a solution that will suits your needs and guarantee results. If our mobile personal training is not within your budget, we also offer Group Personal Training / Boot Camps (from $99 a month for unlimited sessions), or our 12 week at home training guides.

Our team of trainers is full of university qualified fitness professionals, who have either exercise science degrees, or are currently continuing their studies in exercise physiology and rehab or osteopathy. We have been operating for over 10 years in the health and fitness industry and we pride ourselves on our past and current client goals and achievements.

We also offer Studio personal training at a private studio gym at a fully equipped private facility – Moonee Valley Health and Fitness and sessions are run by our trainers in a fully equipped private gym.

Personal Training: What are the costs for small group private training?

The more people that train together, the less it is individually. Take advantage of putting your own group together.

Here is the costing for small group training?
2:1 – $88 per session ($44 per person)
3:1 – $99 Per session ($33 per person)
4:1 – $100 per session ($25 per person)
5+ Group Personal Training: Pricing varies on your group size and if you needed personalised programs for all participants or not.

Just like our 1 on 1 Personal Training, our trainers will tailor your training session for each individual person that is in your group so you all will get a great workout.

Personal Training: How do I sign up to start?

Start Up is EASY

All you need to do is fill out our quick online NEW STARTER FORM and fill in your details. In this form you will let us know how many sessions you would like to do a week and your available days and times you can train and we will organise a trainer for you.

Personal Training: How does payment for my Personal Traning sessions work?

We use a direct debit system for all of our personal training clients. Payments are debited fortnightly on a Friday by our Personal Training Manager – David, and you are only ever debited for the sessions that you have booked in and have completed from the previous fortnight.

We never charge our clients in advance, and there are no start up fees or lock-in contracts. *Please note we do not except cash payments.

Personal Training: What is your cancellation policy?

For all our personal training sessions we have a 24 hour Cancellation Policy.

MaxNRG PT Cancellation Policy
We understands there will be times when you are unable to keep your scheduled training session.

In order to receive full credit for the session, 24 hours notice is required for cancellation. Failure to cancel within this time frame or failure to show up for a session will result in FULL payment.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please call or text us on 0403 741 278 or contact your trainer directly. Please leave a message on the voicemail if we are busy an unable to take your call.

Similarly, there may be a time when your trainer may be unavailable for a scheduled appointment due to unforeseen circumstances. At this time we will provide you with another member of the MaxNRG team or reschedule a time that is convenient to you.

Exceptions will only be made in the case of a medical emergency Serious Illness or serious medical emergency, accidents and serious accident or illness of a client’s family, relatives, and close friends.

Personal Training: How do I start?

To start personal training, all you need to do is fill out our online health and fitness form (takes about 5 minutes) and then we can arrange a suitable trainer to help build a customised training program for you.

Once you have completed you initial health and fitness form our team will contact you to answer any more questions that you may have about your training and to arrange a start date for your training.

Group Fitness: Where do you run your group fitness / boot camp sessions?

We currently have all our Group Fitness / Boot Camp sessions running at a personal training studio in Ascot Vale, VIC. Moonee Valley Health and Fitness is a private fully equipped personal training studio. 378 Mount Alexander Road, TRAVANCORE, VIC 3032.

This is a large fully equipped fitness training facility that that indoor and outdoor areas so is perfect for all weather conditions all year round so you will never miss a workout. The studio is easy accessible for anyone that lives or works near Essendon, Ascot Vale, Kensington, Maribyrnong, Moonee Ponds, Carlton, Brunswick and the surrounding suburbs. We have 13 weekly sessions to choose from, so there is plenty of options to fit your schedule.

Group Fitness: Will your trainers yell at me like a military boot camp instructor?

No. Our team are not hardcore trainers that yell at you and push you until you throw up. All of our trainers are extremely encouraging and will push you within your limits. It is a friendly and comfortable environment and most of all you will train hard and have fun!

We don’t scream or yell and intimidate people. We are here to coach and motivate you so you can achieve your goals in a fun environment. Our trainers are university qualified fitness professionals, not ex-military drill sergeants or reality show fitness trainers trying to make a tv show.

Our 45 minute workouts are based around scientific research on what works in the real world. Our results speak for themselves.

Group Fitness: Is it for all fitness levels?

Yes. All our group fitness / boot camp sessions are for all fitness levels. We cater for a new starter that has never lifted a weight before to the more advanced person who loves a great workout.

Our team of trainers is full of university qualified fitness professionals, who have exercise science degrees, are currently continuing their studies in exercise physiology and rehab or have been in the health and fitness industry with over 10 years experience.

If you have never worked out before it definitely helps to have our trainers who are highly qualified and fitness professionals to guide you through the process of becoming fit and healthy.

If you do have previous experience in the gym and with exercising, our trainers can help you improve on your current level of training ability and intensity.

Group Fitness: I have a previous injury, can I still train?

Yes you can still train, please make sure you advise our team on your injury so we are aware of it and so we can adapt exercises throughout your workout. We want to make sure you train in a safe environment and injury free.

Our team of trainers are not only personal trainers but also university qualified fitness professionals who know how to create and manage rehabilitation programs.

We also have an exercise physiologist as one of our coaches who specialises in exercise rehabilitation. Our Exercise Physiologist is available to help diagnose and treat your current and past injuries if there are any concerns that you are unable to fully participate in the classes.

All our classes can also be modified to suit your current fitness level and abilities.

If you’re still concerned with any type of health issue, it is always best to first consult your doctor before undertaking any type of fitness regimen.

Group Fitness: How big are the groups?

We make aim to keep our boot camps relatively small with an average of 8-10 people per session. By keeping the group sizes smaller this keeps a great client to trainer ratio so you receive a far more personalised session.

Group Fitness: How many sessions do you have per week?

Group Fitness: Do I have to come to the same sessions or can I change it up?

No. You can swap and change your sessions to fit your schedule. And with your first month of unlimited group fitness sessions, we recommend that you try to come to as many sessions as possible so you can try out all the different types of training we offer.

That’s the beauty of our group fitness sessions! No session is ever the same and all sessions are catered for every fitness level.

Booking of your sessions is easy with our online booking system or through our phone App, so you can easily book or schedule your sessions wherever you are.

Group Fitness: How do I book into sessions?

All our booking for group fitness / boot camp sessions can be done through our website or by using our booking app on your phone. We have also written a short online guide on how to book your sessions here, otherwise when you come to your first session a member of our team will help explain how to do it. It’s EASY!

Group Fitness: What do I have to bring?

All you need to bring to your sessions is a bottle of water, a towel and wear some light loose comfortable clothing for you to exercise in and running shoes. Our sessions are run in a fully equipped personal training studio, so all the equipment and everything else you need is supplied by us.

Group Fitness: How long does each boot camp session go for?

Each of our group fitness / boot camp classes run for 45 minutes and no matter what type of session it is (running, strength, indoor boot camp, outdoor boot camp) they always start and finish at the Moonee Valley Health and Fitness Studio – 378 Mount Alexander Road, Travancore VIC.

We also do add extra ‘one-off’ 30 and 45 minute sessions every few months when we add extra fitness testing classes that are open to all members to attend if they wish to.

Group Fitness: Im a new starter to your boot camp, do you have any special offers?

Yes for all group fitness new starters, we have a $99 Unlimited sessions for your first month.

This means you can come to as many sessions as you would like to for the first month of training in our group fitness and boot camp program. We currently have 52 sessions available each month, and every session is different.

This is a great way for you to have a go at all the different types of workouts and trainers that we have, and to see the variety of training we have on offer in a fantastic group environment.

Group Fitness: Can I trial your Group Fitness / Boot Camps first?

Yes – besides all our new members having access to our $99 unlimited boot camp sessions for the first month (over 52 sessions to attend) if for any reason you would like to stop training after your first week of training we will give you a full refund.

We have the best boot camp sessions in Melbourne and we guarantee you’ll love it, but if you are dissatisfied with our boot camps we will refund your $99 no questions asked, no hard feelings.

Group Fitness: What if I choose not to continue training after my first month of unlimited boot camp workouts?

With this introductory membership you get to experience all of the classes on our timetable, train with all of our highly skilled, experienced and qualified personal trainers and see what classes and times are perfectly matched to you goals.

There is no lock in contracts or anything like that, so if you don’t wish to continue just let us know.

Group Fitness: What are the costs after the first month?

After your first month of unlimited group fitness and boot camps, you have a number of options to continue your membership with.

UNLIMITED MEMBERSHIPS – Over 52 sessions per month to attend

    • 3 Months Unlimited – $160 per month (~ $6.50 per session*)
    • 6 Month Unlimited – $149 per month (~ $6.20 per session*)
    • 12 Months Unlimited – $119 per month (~ $4.90 per session*)

*based off coming to 1 session / day, 6 per week

MONTH BY MONTH

  • 1 x Session/wk – $99 per month ($24.75 per session)
  • 2 x Sessions/wk – $140 per month ($17.50 per session)
  • 3 x Sessions/wk – $160 per month ($13.35 per session)
  • Unlimited Sessions – $185 per month (from $7.00 per session)

For all new group fitness / boot camp members we offer your first month of training – $99 for unlimited group fitness. There are no on-going contracts or commitments if you do not wish to continue after your first month of training. The unlimited group fitness is a great way for you to attend as many of our sessions as you like (no two sessions are the same) and get to train with a number of our personal trainers.

Group Fitness: How do payments work?

All payments are made monthly and can be made by credit card or bank direct debit. These payments are made monthly from your started date, and you will be sent a reminder closer to your training expiry date.
